Google Charts API and the Price of Oil

So, I was intrigued by the Google Charts API, and I’ve been thinking more about oil, inflation, and the dollar. Put these two things together and you get a picture. Data taken from various websites, InflationData, Finfacts, and Dow Jones and adjusted for inflation based on InflationData’s ratios. Each data series is scaled for best fit across the Y-axis. I’m not sure if this is a meaningful picture, especially the linear DJI series, but it pretty clearly shows how oil and gold valuation was in step until recently.
